Edgar Santiago, our super smart kennel supervisor, will show you the best way to walk a dog on a leash with no pulling, tugging or leading. For those of us who are in a constant battle with our beloved dog as soon as the leash goes on, this is an eye opener.

We're a nonprofit, no-kill sanctuary rescuing dogs and cats whose time has run out at local kill shelters.

We dream of a day when the U.S. will be a no-kill nation and the need for healthy animal euthanasia will be a thing of the past. That's reflected in our Outreach & Education Initiatives, our Wild Mustang Initiative, Almost Home 2020 and the many other ideas we are putting into play here in Mountain Center, CA.

Young Dusty had been in quarantine since December. In fact, he was so ill when we rescued him and his brothers and sisters, we weren't sure the litter would make it. But today's a new day, and he seems to be adapting quite well with the help of his new friend Dodge in Admin. Welcome Dusty, you fearless and intrepid little soul.
